Liverpool 0-3 Man City
Normally I wouldn't comment on this, but it would be wrong not to after such a poor refereeing performance from someone who can't be unbiased. I'm not sure why he was given that game!
The red card changes the game, end of discussion. If it's 11 v 11, anything could have happened, but neither foul was a red. A yellow card at most, not to mention the yellow cards Man City weren't given.
I'm proud of the Liverpool team before the red card. They fought against a superior team of players and looked the better side for most of the game. Big credit goes to Grav, Koumas, Macca and Muñoz, who all played very well and were unlucky not to get something out of the game.
Andoni is having a very good effect on the players, and I can already see improvements, so I'm happy with that. The performance after the red card wasn't great, and some players definitely need to pick up their performances. But going a man down can be worked on, and working out contingencies will come!
It's an annoying result, but it definitely gave great signs for the future, and it won't be the last time we see Lewis Koumas starting.
