The Dwelling place

mental over physical

I haven't written anything here in a very long time, and the reason is that I'm physically injured — but the injury isn't in my hand, and yet it's still what's held me back from writing.

My mind held me back too, part of it being no urge to write about anything. But then I overcame that hurdle and found some subjects to write on, and still that gate remained closed.

Ultimately, our headspace controls us far more than our physical body does, and that fascinates me.

I'm trying hard today, and for the rest of the week, to break that barrier. Because once you stop exercising a muscle, it's almost like it seizes.

All of this is a reminder that it's okay for things to take time, and that we need to go at our own pace — but it's also good to try and get that muscle working again.

Thanks for visiting The Dwelling Place.
