The Dwelling place

Sunday’s at the Fireside #1

What I’ve reflected on this week is just how much growth can happen in a person over the course of a few months when habits begin to change.

I noticed it in the biggest way yesterday, but I’ve also seen it in smaller moments throughout the week. I have more love and more capacity for people I have often struggled with—people who have hurt me, frustrated me, or made me angry.

The change hasn’t come because those feelings have disappeared. It has come because my attitude has changed. It has become less about what I’m feeling or what my anger is taking from me, and more about how I can love that person anyway.

I don’t think I could have made that change on my own. God has been at work in me, patiently reshaping my heart. Choosing to approach people with love instead of resentment has brought a peace I didn’t expect, and that change is beginning to touch every area of my life.

Sometimes we don’t notice how much we’re changing until we stop and look back. This week reminded me that God often does His deepest work quietly, one small step at a time.

Thank you for visiting the Dwelling place.
